ShowTime FMX was founded by Gary and Amanda Reid after Gary’s successful international career as a professional water skier and professional live event announcer. With the support of Amanda and combining his passion for performance with the thrill of freestyle motocross, Gary and Amanda launched ShowTime FMX at the Royal Canberra Show, leading to over 5,000 shows across Australia and New Zealand. The FMX team was later purchased by lead rider Brad Burch, who rebranded it as Airtime FMX and continues to perform at major events nationwide. In 2011, Gary moved the business to the Gold Coast to develop permanent stunt shows, launching Hollywood Stunt Driver 2 at Movie World in 2014. The show delivered over 10,000 high-octane performances up until its conclusion in late 2025. In 2013, the company expanded with ShowTime Kustom Garage, creating custom activation vehicles, concepts, builds and experiences for major brands like Repco, Boost Mobile, Ford, Shell, and Supercars. In 2019, ShowTime launched the Thunder Lake Stunt Show at Sea World, returning to the same venue where Gary began his entertainment career in 1995.
