ShowTime FMX are proud to announce that after a 5-year break, the team is returning to the event as a main arena entertainment act at Brisbane’s Royal Show - the Ekka.
Performing their brand new themed show ‘the Battle for the Golden Helmet’ where the Urban All Stars battle it out against the Outback Outlaws in a motorkhana style show mixed with nail biting racing, flawless FMX tricks and good old-fashioned good guy vs bad guy rivalry.
Team Riders Robbie Marshall, Brad Burch, Kain Saul and Pete Anderson with over 40 years combined riding experience are pumped to be returning to the Ekka and can’t wait to perform the new show again.
“We all worked hard putting this new show together and we are really proud of the result. It’s something different for the team and we love getting into character each day, having some serious fun, making the crowds laugh & of course pulling some off the most amazing FMX tricks around” Senior Rider Robbie Marshall commented.
ShowTime FMX launched the show concept at the Royal Melbourne Show last September which proved to be a huge success with the team entertaining packed stands each day of the event.
“We hope the crowds at the Brisbane Ekka love the new show as much as we do. I am confident no one will leave disappointed. It’s so entertaining!” Marshall added
ShowTime FMX is world’s longest running Freestyle Moto X Team performing events around the country for 17 years. Brisbane’s Ekka, was the second ever event performed at as a team 17 years ago. ShowTime FMX’s first year in 2000 consisted of 12 show days – 9 of which were at the Ekka, since then the team has averaged 100 show days per year. It is safe to say, The Ekka holds an important part in the team’s history and was a huge part of their success in the early days.
“We are stoked to be returning to the Ekka this year. Our entire team is based in Queensland so it is always awesome to perform in front of a home crowd” Team Owner Gary Reid commented
ShowTime FMX will be performing daily on the main arena of the Ekka commending on Friday 11 August at the Brisbane Showgrounds.
The ShowTime team has been lucky to escape the winter cold with June & July sending us north for a busy few weeks of shows.
Gold Coast Titans Fans got a taste of FMX action when the ShowTime team brought some pre-game entertainment to Cbus
Stadium. The boys loved getting amongst the NRL festivities talking the opportunity to chat with head-lining players in between shows.

We were proud to be back at the Darwin V8 Supercar Event for the 2nd year in a row. Using our team to open the weekend’s motorsport event by blocking off roads in the main streets of Darwin for Robbie, Brad & Kain to perform in front of huge crowds. The week continued with 4 shows a day at Hidden Valley Raceway in between Supercar races. The Darwin locals absolutely loved the spectacle that is FMX.
The team were pumped to be at the Townsville V8 Supercar event for another year to entertain the enthusiastic North Queensland fans. We love this event and everything it has to offer.
After a big week in Townsville, the team headed north for The Cairns Show for another year. One of the team’s favourite rural shows. We can’t get enough of the local support we receive in Cairns.
ShowTime FMX were approached by local Charity ICANIWILL to assist in granting a life changing wish.
ICANIWILL is a mentoring charity that strives to eradicate bullying against special needs children within the schools of Australia.
Chase, a 7 Year old boy from Melbourne with Autism, ADHD & ODD who has suffered from severe bully. So badly, his mother cannot work because she is going to and from school so much. Chase loves motorbikes, riding around his PeeWee 80 most days after school. His wish was to hang out with the ShowTime FMX team.
Day one consisted of Team Riders Brad Burch, Robbie Marshall, Pete Anderson & Kain Saul treating Chase to a day riding at the ShowTime Training Compound. Chase got one on one time with the ShowTime riders picking up tips & tricks to help improve his own riding. Chase also got the rare opportunity to witness the team mastering brand new tricks on standard jumps as well as into the foam pit.
Day two, Chase received VIP Treatment at Movie World including special meet & greets with all his favourite Warner Brothers Characters as well as hanging out with the ShowTime Stunt Team, a backstage tour & VIP seating for the show. He spent the afternoon exploring the rest of the park taking his new best mate, Brad Burch on all the rides. Huge thanks to our friends at Movie World for all their support with organising the day's activities.
Next stop was the Jet Pilot Store at Harbour Town where Chase got to spend up a storm thanks to our mates at Jet Pilot.
An action packed couple of days was ended with a tour of the ShowTime FMX workshop followed by a meet & greet with Matt Mingay’s Hot Wheels Stunt Team.
Keep an eye on The Project on Channel 10 on Friday Night to watch the Story on Chase’s Wish.
We feel so privileged to have been apart of this experience with Chase and we look forward to following his progress in the future.
